Hey Brad,

I read a bit of mystery novels, and I find Michael Connolly's books, the
Harry Bosch series, are a little more sophisticated than most. Having said
that, I've enjoyed some more than others. The Last Coyote is a good one, as
was City of Bones. Two of my favorite mysteries, with a bit of a
psychological component, were Mystic River and Shutter Island by Dennis
Lehane. Again, Lehane has some duds, but these two were awesome, and I read
them before they were made into movies. One gritty, urban cop thriller I
loved was Clockers, by Richard Price. It's not a murder mystery as much as
it's about drug dealers, bad guys, bad cops, and one good cop.
Happy reading,

chris
