[stylist] word: the name Francois

Yes that is how it's pronounced.  I had a great  uncle with that name but 
also I am of French (Acadian) ancestry.  There is  sir name common here that 
is DuBois.  It is pronounced 'do bwa' and it  means 'of the wood/woods'.  My 
maiden name is Dupre' and this is pronounced  'do pray' and it means 'of 
the meadow or lea'.  It's a beautiful  language, this Acadian French, I grew 
up with but it blends both the Parisian  and Acadian and sometimes makes for 
some odd pairings.

I hope I'm still "playing by the rules",  but what I have 
presented to you is a very interesting name.
You've  probably all heard of Francois-it's French-Canadian.  And 
lots of you  probably thought it was either pronounced "fran-coiz) 
or  "fran-coy."
But some of you may be shocked (I'm sure I was) when I found  out 
it's pronounced like this:
fran-swa
Of course many of you may  know this already, but I just thought 
this was very interesting so I  decided to post  it.
