[stylist] Writing and community service

Hi Donna and all,

I'd like the word count for stories to be between 500 and 700 words. The one
I am going to post tomorrow, which is written by our first guest speaker, is
exactly 700 words. I'm thinking the stories from our guest speakers are
going to be closer to the higher end of that word count because they're
basically going to be recaps of their presentations and overviews of all of
their community service experience. I'm thinking that stories about one
particular experience or aspect of community service will be more toward the
lower end of that count.

I'm wondering if all of this sounds reasonable. I've taken a college course
in Web writing, but this is the first time I've worked on a blog outside of
class. I'd welcome advice about any of this from anyone on the list.

Donna, our group would definitely be interested in participating in an
article. Like you, we believe that blind people getting involved in
community service is an important message. Let me know the details as the
time gets closer.

Chris
