[stylist] Writing and community service

Chris,
I have it on my calendar to contact you around mid April. Keep in mind 
that we can use JPeg photos in the article, so if anyone can get a 
picture of themselves doing volunteer work, please do so.

I think 500 to 700 words for a blog post is fine. There is a great 
variation in the lengths of posts, but I've always believed that 500 
words is sufficient to get any idea across, and 700 isn't too much that 
the reader gets bored.  As a writer for online magazines, I initially 
got used to writing articles of under 1500 words for American Chronicle. 
Then, I was accepted at Suite 101 and they initially wanted between 400 
& 800 words. Now, they've changed it to up to 1000 words,, and I find 
that my articles have stretched to that now.
