[stylist] formatting

Hi Atty,
Happy to hear you're getting ready to submit a story! Just some thoughts ...
First, yes, if you select the text and double-check that you haven't
selected the next line, right justifying will work. The hot key is
Control+r. There is a function for inserting name/date in Word, but when I
tried it in Word 2003, I got the name and date showing up almost everywhere
but at the top right, despite having specifically chosen that. At the time,
I asked my trusted friend Bonnie, a fellow writer, and she said she always
inserts this sort of info after she's satisfied that all of the edits are
done. You can open a new document, type in and format the text and copy to
the clipboard. Then, you go through making sure you're at the very top of
the page and paste it in. Make sure you start from the top, as this will
change where each subsequent page starts.
HTH,
Donna

Subject: [stylist] formatting

Hi all,

I am formatting a short story to submit to a magazine and it wants the word
count on the top right of the first page.

I am using microsoft 2007.
Do I just right justify it?

Also they want my name, page number and title on the upper right corner of
each page.

I imagine there is an easy way to do this with making a header or something?
Anyone know how and want to share!

Thanks!

Write on,
Atty
