Ashley,

Hemingway is considered one of the great American novelist. He was
writing in the early and mid part of the 20th century. He's known for
creating short sentences opposed to longer sentences still popular at
the time often using flowery, or arcaic language. He'd use these short
sentences full of meaning then throw in longer sentences at times making
the narrative flow. He wrote Old Man and the Sea, A Farewell to Arms,
For Whom the Bell Tolls and many short stories. He's typically studied
in most English classes including high school.

Sincerely,
Bridgit Kuenning-Pollpeter

I don't think I read his works. Are they nonfiction? Wasn't Hemingway a

poet?
