[stylist] A Haiku I Wrote This Morning

I didn't know haiku didn't have titles, either.  Is there a name for it if 
you wtrote haiku stanzas; each stanza being one haiku poem but a bunch of 
them on the same topic?  I've not written much haiku because they are soooo 
short.

Jacqui, do you know where one can find an extensive list of different kinds 
of poems?  You seem to have a wealth of info on that topic.  I mainly write 
quatrains where the second and fourth lines rhyme but am trying to break out 
of that mold.  That's why I've been trying my hand at sestinas and 
villanelles--most are terrible--and I even wrote a terza rima and a rhyme 
royale.  I'm no good at sonnets either but have written a couple.

Jim,
Another good one. There is a rule that says Haiku has no title. In this case
your title is part of your poem.  You might have to re-write it so that the
leaves are incorporated into the poem.

Tone deaf-listening-
the great symphony of life
is inspired by you.

While Haiku are usually written about a snapshot of nature, I much prefer
the ones written about human qualities. If I recall, the ones dealing with
human nature may be called a Senryu. They are both Japanese and if you are
not entering a contest, who cares.
