Hello list,
I know I am reading this correspondence late, but I am into
blogging as well and wanted to share my thoughts.
This semester, I am using both wordpress and blogger for school.
Of these two, I definitely find blogger easier to use than
wordpress when it comes to actual blogging, but for the creation
of the blog, wordpress is easier because your account is verified
through an e-mail, not one of those annoying word verification
captchas that JAWS doesn't read. I have to ask for sighted help
because I can never understand the audio these web sites provide
in an attempt to make it "accessible."
I also have a personal blog on another site called Livejournal
which hasn't been mentioned. Once you get through the captcha,
it works really well with JAWS and actually I find it to be the
most straightforward for posting entries. I would say if you are
looking to have a professional feel to your blog, blogger and
wordpress are equally good. I have seen serious writers on
Livejournal too, but a lot of people use Livejournal for its
social network feel since you can friend other Livejournal users
and participate in communities.
As with anything, all sites have their advantages and
disadvantages, so I would suggest checking them all out and then
sticking with the one you find most user friendly for you.

Subject: [stylist] blog help

Hello List,
I'm interested in starting a blog on one of the available blogger
sites and am wondering which sites are "blind user friendly."
Anyone utilizing a blog site? Any suggestions on how to get
started? Really appreciate any help offered. Thanks.
