[stylist] Poem Share

Hi Jackie,
It is a pantoum.
It is in response to a poem sent to me by my friend, a poet and author.
This poem was my message to him, after reading what he had written to me.

Yes, when I am explicating a poem it is an intensive work project. I have to
gather and hold the images, as one would gather a bouquet from the picking
garden. I have to listen to the poem with my eyes closed (even when I could
see, I did this) and the pictures there in the poem take form as the
elements come together for me. I like to spent a day or two, at least, with
a poem because it is a living thing. One of my favorite things to do in life
is to spend time alone with a poem and then begin to explicate it when the
time is right. I know exactly what you are saying here. Thanks so much for
your comments. Lynda
