[stylist] Something to ponder

Personally I think that we must "feel" our story. Of course we can write
about places we've never been, and write emotions that we've never exactly
experienced. For instance, I've never truly hated, not the mind numbing
hate that eats away at the spirit, and honestly don't think I could write
about it in depth. On the other hand I've never had children, but because I
have loved I can write about the love that prompts a parent to sacrifice, or
despair at the loss of a loved child. In other words, personally I must
have some connection to an emotion before I can have my characters
experience it.

This is only my opinion, and I think it will be interesting to hear how
others feel.
