[stylist] Please read my new article & give feedback

Chris,
Thanks for the tips. I had already been thinking of writing articles that
were composits of the ones I published online but not exactly the same. For
instance, one about three of the people I interviewed about the Braille
literacy crisis or the accessibility issues.

I'm trying to write in places where sighted people who have no interest in
blindness will at least have to read the titles once in a while. After all,
those are the not-yet-blind. Also, I'm sick of the mainstream media not
covering our issues; it's another example of "separate but not equal."

I'm trying to find something else online, but so far, it looks like a lot of
them either just want "How to" articles or they are promoting a writers'
social network, where you're supposed to read and review other writers'
articles. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm already
stretched thin here with my book and volunteer pr for the NFB of PA and next
to no compensation, and I think my time would be better spent actually
interviewing, researching and writing.

Still, I should think of Dialog more often. I'm sure I could come up with
something that would interest them.
Donna

Donna,

Sorry to hear what Suite 101 did. Try not to fume. Consider sending one of
your interviews to Dialogue Magazine (I'd recommend not saying it was
previously available on the net) and even pitching them a regular column.
Same for your local newspaper--as long as they pay. And/or, consider
compiling your interviews into an e book called something like 'So I met
this blind person..." and try to plug it wherever you can. As I'm sure you
know, the key to making money as a free lance writer is recycling.
