Thanks for info on Myrna's name.
For this and your next e-mail, let me answer them together. Yes, I was a
teacher for all of my professional life. Started out as a P.E. teacher, five
years in New York, two in Miami, AZ, then 2 years on San Carlos Indian
Reservation  as a cross-categorical special education teacher, then to Mesa
for 18 years as a teacher of the learning disabled, and the gifted, and then
in administration, finishing with 7 years in the early retirement program
working as the district dance coordinator with the African dance teacher
from the east coast, and working in the computer Mac lab.
Gibran's book is a series of short selections on different topics. Perhaps
teachings, observations, thoughts, or what you would call them. I have such
a list for my aide to find in my bookcase, that I'm not sure when I will get
to it. I am sure it would be available on the NLS listings.

I hope I have my names straight. Is Myrna Badgerow the same Myrna as Cajun
Cutie?
Also, one of my most treasured books is "The Prophet. Perhaps you know the
lesson, "On Teaching." It was my mantra through my years of teaching.
I would love to see one of your lessons.
My missing son, that you know about, also left a really worn copy of it in
his belongings that he did not take with him. That makes it doubly important
to me.

Great news!  My newest project is something I am tentatively calling The
Teacher series, a collection of life lessons in a variation of Gibran's The
Prophet style.  My mind just will not shut off sometimes but as Mr. T always
said 'give in to it'.  That was great advice too about your readers finding
you. If anyone would like to read a few 'chapters' from the Teacher series
please let me know. I do not claim to be a short story/essay writer but I
have enjoyed doing these and if anyone has topic suggestions please send
them my way.
