Writing Friends,
I hope to work on the 5 word challenge today. Meanwhile, I am sending you something else.
I am sending you a poem written by my daughter, Heidi Lambert McClure. On Monday she held the hand of her friend and colleague for the past nine years. As she held her hand she knew that this was the last time she would see her friend, and that this was their goodbye time. On Friday, her friend passed away. It I thought you would all appreciate these words in Heidi's poem.
_______________
Lynda's Wings
My friend left me today
But she has not gone far
She will live forever
In my memories and in my heart
Now she's an Angel
She will watch from above
She knows that I mourn her
And how much she is loved
The last time I saw her
I held her hand
I told her I loved her
That I would see her again
The last time I saw her
I felt that she knew things
This morning they told me
My Lynda got her wings
For Lynda Galonis
