Hi Andi,
So glad you entered the contest and your prologue sounds like a great idea! 
You are very inspired to work on your book and see it through like you are.

Portland is a very lovely city. I was only there once, for a conference. I 
was delivering a paper at an interdisciplinary education conference. One 
special evening after dinner, the deputy mayer took me for a sightseeing 
tour all around Portland. It was so much fun.
He had his dinner at our table and during the evening offered to take my 
colleagues and I for a tour.  You will probably love Portland because it is 
a place where the arts abound and thrive.
