Hey all, I do not know if you have noticed or perhaps you may have missed
it, but Kieti is sharing her knowledge of play writing this month. If
anyone has any questions regarding this please post them. We could all join
in the conversation, because that is what sharing is all about. For
December we have Lynda sharing on how to read poetry. I thought this would
be great as so many people have expressed that they do not know how to read
people's poetry submissions. I guess writing is really not the only art to
poetry. If you do not read it properly you miss out on the rhythm and flow
intended by the author. I belong to a couple of local writer's groups here.
We share our work with each other and since I cannot read visually I always
have someone else read my work. When it is poetry I notice that some of the
people do not know how to read it and it often seems to change the meanings
intended. I look forward to this lesson as I do all of the others. Still
need more volunteers that want to share. No experts needed. Just a basic
knowledge and/or experience level that you think qualifies you to share
with the rest of us. Once you start, we could all take the ball and run
with it. We have January set up for Bridget to share. I will tell you a bit
more about that soon, but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. Let's
all participate with this and have fun learning and teaching each other.
And don't forget to participate with Chris's monthly prompts. They are so
much fun. Thanks all for being such a great group. Eve
