[stylist] The Snow Bunnies

Hi,
I have to go listen to that song - I forget it.
Now that you have brought that UP, I am thinking that the color "black"
appears in a great deal of my work.
I wrote a sestina that was published in a really nice literary journal in
Pittsburgh shortly after I wrote it. The journal was "YALP" and it no longer
exists, but the poem is "Wet and Black." One of my earliest sestinas. The
sestina if my favorite form of poem and I have written many of them over the
years. It seems to come very naturally to me.
Right now, I am working on a series of visual mixed media fiber works that
will be mounted on black suede cloth so that they can hang freely and be
suspended out from the gallery walls in upcoming exhibitions.

And, in college I did an enormous amount os black paintings, both as an
undergrad and as a grad student.
My friend has done me one better though. Her entire bedroom is black - she
says it is soothing and she can sleep very well in the black room.
And, then there is the black clothing - most artists dress in black - when
you attend art openings, and look around at the people, it is black that
they are wearing for the most part.
