I agree that this was a good poem.  I believe the line was from "The Sound of Silence", but I may be wrong.

I found a lot of natural tension in the poem; the protagonist is trying to communicate, but can't.  It also works as a metaphor for how we can't connect with our fellow man, so we through tantrums and get violent out of frustration.

Once again, good job.

This was an interesting poem. It made me think--is the narrator you, or one of your kids, or who? All my questions weren't answered, which I actually like in a poem. Nice work.
