I agree with you both. Barbara, what you really brought out was the interior
life of a child who is unable to communicate effectively in order to get
help. It was like the personna here is trapped inside of an uncooperative
body and completely recognizes that - there is such a strong awareness of
the challenge and there is that internal dialogue that we can see. You
really reached inside yourself to bring this all out in the poem, I think.
