No, Bridgit, it's 10% of the total population. Sighted folks who have it sometimes see their colors or shapes inside of their heads and sometimes they see them out in front of them. Some folks even feel shapes or textures in their hands or arms. In a book I read about synesthesia, there was a guy who tasted shapes. His chicken wasn't round enough to be done.
