Yes, yes. Especially now with the kids, we use either home-made cleaners
or products devoid of harsh chemicals like Seventh Generation. We just
had to unclogg our bathroom sink, so we used 1 cup baking soda and 1 cup
vinegar. Let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse with boiling hot water.
Worked well.

Ross and Declan both have skin issues, so we try to use products, from
cleaning to bathing, that are safe and don't have harsh chemicals. You
can't always find these products at just any store, but thank goodness
for online ordering, smile. On the parent listserve, many parents use
products like this. They have a lot of helpful info and resources at
times.

I'm also researching toys and children's items free of BPA and other
harmful chemicals. It's not easy.

And it isn't just food, look at your cleaners and personal care items. I

make a wonderful cleaner out of white vinigar and dried thyme. A half
cup of 
dried time with a four cup lavender in a quarter of white vinigar and
let it 
sit for 24 to 36 hours. Strain off the  herbs with cheese cloth and you
have 
one heck of a great anti bacteria anti viral cleaner.
