Sorry about your sister's cat. The imagery of your poem is good, although I
personally don't see the connection of yellow to pain. The end is a bit of a
shocker, the contrast between the wailing women and the cold, unfeeling
poet. Two other edits:

 as cats ever get,, (you have two commas here)

as polished bone.Hourly laved, (you need a space after the period, and did
you mean 'loved'?)
