Bonnie,
It is a pleasure to have a new member with your background and interests on
our list. Though I have never made it to New Zealand, I did recommend a
friend from Phoenix to contact another friend I had known in Africa, now in
New Zealand, and she took him hiking and he made a bungee jump from a high
bridge,  at the age of seventy. 
It sounds like your move and your new land could be very conducive to
finishing your romance novel. Though I seem to be devoting my time to poetry
of all sorts, I have an avid interest in memoirs, history, biographies, and
historical fiction and romance. I have just today finished "Catherine the
Great, and those 26 hours passed quickly, and besides being riveting because
of what is happening now in the Crimea, and Russia, it is also full of
romance among other things.

Good morning, fellow writers from a wintry Wellington, New Zealand. I joined
the list a few weeks ago and thought I would introduce myself. I left my job
in Boston last October to move to Wellington, New Zealand to be with my
fiancé. Getting used to upside down seasons, cars on the opposite side of
the road, and no good iced coffee has been an adventure but a  wonderful
one. 
I have a work visa and am looking for employment, so in the meantime, I  am
trying to write with all the free time I have--not an easy task as I am a
terrible procrastinator when it comes to actually  putting fingers to
keyboard.
Writing has always been a part of my life. I have published a couple of
short stories and poems and am currently slogging through the editing
process for a first draft of a romance novel. I mainly write contemporary
women's fiction but enjoy experimenting with other genres. I joined Romance
Writers of New Zealand and am looking forward to attending their annual
conference in August. They are a great group of ladies. I am looking forward
to participating in this list.
