[stylist] do any other writers ever feel like this?

Vejas,
Good point. I strive to show the good side of my villains and the
less-than-perfect side of my heroes.

Hi Bill,
That's a great idea and I like how you can show compassion to all your
characters and have a balance of your characters' emotions.
When I create a character I don't like, I often exaggerate the way they
behave. I purposely put them in positions that make them behave a certain
way.
When I create a character I do like, they rarely do anything wrong. Will
have to work on that! After all, nobody is perfect.
Thanks,
Vejas

Hi,
Well, I don't think I've actually cried but I recognize that impulse.
The way I write my characters has a lot to do with compassion; in order to
get the emotional truth out of my characters and their situations I employ a
kind of compassion. Almost always, this leads me to a satisfying sense of
who these people are and what they're going to do next.

Hi All,
I was just curious about something. Do you ever feel bad about a decision
that you make in your story because it doesn't benefit a certain character?
I know they're not real people, but in my head they are.
I feel like I just let a character of mine down, but in a way I also feel
like I had to make that decision. I know it's silly, and I bet as a writer
it's totally normal... but does anyone else ever feel this way?
