This list is a little more lax than others; that's good, writers are a more
ecclectic bunch.

Eve, that's why I stand by my that everything we write is a part of writing.
Is it frustrating to see a zillion messages on one topic that we don't care
about? Sure, but we have done SO much better at having good and clear
subject lines that deleting is easy.
And, if we can't go off topic sometimes, how are we to become a cohesive
group? And like you said, how can we grow as people in our relations to
others fort some camaraderie. For some, this may be their best chance to
communicate with others.
