Shawn, yes. I heard a beautiful way of looking at it and I am sorry I do
not remember the sorce. It has to do with the defeat of the Sun God and the
mourning of the Goddess. The rains always come after Solstice which is when
the sun is at its height and then starts its decline, leaving the Goddess
without His company.
