I'm just a perfectionist. Always have been, likely always will be, smile.
Was when sighted, still am now blind, grin.

Hi Lynda, having been blind from birth, and having attended a School for the
Blind, I can tell you where a lot of that perfectionist thinking comes from.
First of all, from the time was I little I was told that I would have to
work harder than sighted people because I would have to be as good or better
than sighted folks. We were taught that it is a sighted world and that we
would have to be better than other folks in everything we do. For years I
have struggled with my self-worth because guess what! I am not
"super-blind". I get lost, spill things, (not a lot but sometimes), get
lost, and have been known to need to ask for help on occasion. Well, all
those things were things that I got in trouble for growing up. It's very
hard to get rid of
stuff that was taught to you as a small child. Debby
