Reading has always been an escape for me too. Even as an adult, I turn to
literature to escape whatever I need to escape from, even if just a crazy,
active three-year-old, grin.

And because you read all the time, people probably thought you had "poor
social skills"? God I hated when people said I had really bad social skills
just because I liked reading?
But I'd rather have read during lunch in school than go up to someone new
and risk being rejected.
My character will definitely be doing this too.
