[stylist] question about terminology

Hi, Vegas,
I'd say in your writing it may be alright in fiction, especially if you're
writing in a British setting, but in general editors would likely correct it
as it is British and fine for British publications, but we in America do
spell Favorite without the U and so on, so editors, and probably professors
likewise would appreciate standard suitable spellings.

It's annoying to conform, but often those in charge force it at least when
under their influence. But if you're self publishing or writing letters,
blogs, ETC, I definitely encourage you to use your own voice.

I don't know why Americans insist on their different spellings and their
different measuring system, but we're so yeah. LOL.

I hope that helps.
