There is a book called Heaven to Betsy, in a series about a girl named Betsy 
and her friends growing up in the early turn of the 20th century and I loved 
all the historical stuff though it was fiction including the more older 
phrases and such. It was done so well that it truly gives you a  feeling for 
how it truly was back then, a thing only the truly gifted writers can pull 
off in my opinion. Can't remember the author, but the books were very 
famous.
