Thanks, I will! I can see her all ready in her bright lil spirit. I am glad
it is two weeks because I have an incredibly busy life and stepping out of
it for a month is just far too hard to wang fangle.
I have great mobility skills so I think it should be mostly learning
technicques and exploring!

The majority of schools have a training period for newbys of about 4 weeks.
GDB, which is where Atty is going to, has changed their newby training to 2
weeks only about a year and a half ago. Most of the schools do 2 weeks for
returns, but feel that 2 weeks is not enough for newbys. There is constantly
discussion about this on the NAGDU list if you are interested.
What I always suggest to people though is research all of the schools
online. Pick out a few that seem to have what you like and then call those.
Talk to the trainers at those schools and narrow it down until you are left
with one. That is the school for you.
If you ask and rely on other people's opinions, you may get good advice but
you may just as likely get something that does not fit for you. We all want
and need different things out of the schools and our dogs. The schools all
have pros and cons and no one knows exactly what is best for you better than
you do.
Well, that said, good luck Atty. I hope you get the perfect dog for you.
