Good ideas. Also, I know the Writers' Division has a FB account, but what
about creating a specific contest event page that can continue to be shared
on FB until deadline?

Subject: [stylist] Ideas for promoting writing contests

Hi All,
As the April 1st deadline for entries in our annual contests approaches, it
would be helpful if members stepped up and did a little posting about it on
social media. In January and February, I sent out over 700 emails to
individuals in and out of the NFB. It was a monumental task, just finding
the email addresses and finding people on Linked In involved in blindness
issues. I also put ads in places like the Blind Post and on sites like
Teaching the Visually Impaired. Currently, I am running a tweet on each of
the two contests once a day on Twitter and occasionally on Linked In,
Google+ and Facebook.

I just placed the following status updates to Facebook. If you have a
Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ or Twitter account, please take a few minutes to
help spread the word. Those on FB can simply "Share" my update on their own
timeline, if that helps make it easier for you. Also, feel free to borrow
from the following, if that hellps. If you have technical questions about
helping, feel free to ask. If you have other suggestions for spreading the
word, please share them.
