[stylist] do any other writers ever feel like this?

HI, Vejas. I"m so sorry if you asked this and I didn't see it. My gmail
sometimes gets stupid and decides to stop sending me a particular list
thread if it goes on for a while. If I ever don't answer anyone directly I
didn't get it just as a general list FYI so feel free to write me again with
a different subject line. LOL. Speaking of RP, that's when I first realized
that gmail or my outlook express or both were doing that because 2 people
were waiting on me to reply with my characters in 2 different games and I
thought I was waiting on them. LOL. It's fun to be able to play characters
you're even already writing steadily in a book too because if the flow isn't
there but you miss the characters and still want to work with them, in the
game you're not working alone so there is always something to do. As for
what it is, I posted about that on the list before at Robert's request so
for those who already know this, I'm not spamming you. Someone asked for it.
LOL. How it works is there are various role play groups. Email lists like
this. They're usually based on something, and often on yahoo or google
groups, though some people just rp through private emails. I'll do that
sometimes, but I prefer the groups as tere are more than 2 people there
fore more characters. Of course a person can play as many or as few
characters as they want, but I feel the more players/writers involved the
more ideas and creativity flow and the more fun it is. Back to books,
interestingly someone in a game touched on a personal issue one of my
characters in a current book I'm writing has with her father so it was cool
to have to have] her work that out in the game setting too as it was
unexpected. As soon as I saw the message from their character I'm like oh
shit here we go. Franceska is gonna flip out about that. LOL. Anyway, if
your character is fantasy or sci-fi or would fit into any popular series as
an original character or if you played characters from those series, I.E
hunger games, game of thrones, Super natural, ETC. or if it's a mundane type
every day Jo character there are groups for that too. I saw one recently
advertised called small town RPG. IT doesn't interest me but it's out there.
Anyway, you write original characters or those from the books/movies
depending on the game you['r[e in and other players on the list respond with
their characters to build stories and plots together. You only write for
your characters and to hers respond with theirs in 3rd person to build a
story. In our horror group, for example, we're writing a story together
around the hotel California song and it's pretty awesome. There is always
room for more people. And others I'm in are Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Game
of Thrones. i just finished writing a game of thrones message for Dany.
She's having a conversation with Drogo, whom I do not play, about going to
win over Volantian merchants to their cause and how to do it. She's letting
DRogo take the lead in that and facilitating where ever she can as in many
ways she feels she's sort of castrated him sense the lord of light returned
him to her. Long story, but that's the point. It's fun to see what ideas and
concepts you come up with working with other writers playing their
respective characters. You write in 3rd person, if I didn't say that and the
subject of each group email indicates who's there and what's happening. For
example in game of thrones, Tyrion's thread, is called The hand's tower, and
if people are skimming the emails and they see that they'll know it's
Tyrion's thread with an original lord a player is writing named Sir Kevan.
They're getting pretty drunk right now, no surprise if you know Tyrion. LOL.
Anyway, do feel free to write me here or off list if you've any questions as
due to the fact I've been up for probably 28 hours by now I don't know how
clear I'm being. I'll answer any questions or help get you into any game. Or
help you set up your own and show you how to advertise it to gain
players/writers. Usually the group starts with a premis. Like for example
one Harry Potter one I'm on is 15 years in the future from the last book and
the hook line is goblins and elves take over and many wizards have lost
their magic due to a plague. Longer story but that's the example of what the
group is about then people weave their characters into the story. Where do
they stand, what are they doing, an d begin interacting. Anyway, feel free
to write here or my email severus13 at gmail.com
and if I don't reply I didn't get it so do write again as I don't ignore
people. LOL. Stupid gmail just hates me is all.
*smiles*
It's great development for characters and I cant' say enough how I've gotten
to know mine so much better by having them thrust into various situations.
They develop relationships I didn't expect too with other people's
characters. Friends, lovers, enemies...Very interesting. LOL.

I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.
I get along with the voices inside of my head.
