[stylist] Introduction

Convention is difficult, especially when you have kids. The biggest problem
is the cost. We had planned to attend convention this year, but after a few
problems with the house, we could no longer justify spending the money. When
it was just Ross and me, it wasn't as big of a deal to drop a couple
thousand to attend convention, but when you have kids, you think
differently. I love convention, and it's an amazing experience, but it does
cost money, which can be a deterrent for many. When Ross and I do attend
national, we treat it as convention/holiday, which is great with kids,
because no way could we attend convention plus do a family holiday. But I'm
eager to get to national sometime soon. Next year may not work out yet
either because we have an April family wedding in Florida, and my son is the
ring bearer, so have to be there, grin, and then another family wedding July
second in Chicago, which is right at convention time. That's a lot of mula
to drop in one year, especially in such a short period of time. If only the
April wedding was during convention time, grin.

I haven't been to convention in a few years but I have had a couple of
articles in Future Reflections, one just earlier this year.

Barbara, your name is also familiar to me, but I can't rightfully place
where, unless it was also at convention.

expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles

blindness is not what holds you back.
