Hi, Vejas.  

I haven't posted in a while either, and yes, the list traffic has been light
of late, but be careful what you wish for.  I said that about the Faith-Talk
list a few weeks back and then everything exploded.  

Congratulations on finishing your first year of college, and hope the
writing goes well.  

I recently read a book on the life of Alice Patterson, who was the founding
co-publisher of Newsday and a relative of prominent figures in the history
of the Chicago Tribune, which made the story interesting due to my roots
near Chicago.  

I just got back from the state convention in Florida, so I was not on the
call Sunday which was at the same time as our banquet.  

Yesterday I was watching the Scripps National Spelling Bee and ran into some
interesting words that came up that might apply to some situations we might
face.  I'll have more on that in another post later.  I am hoping to make it
over from Daytona Beach, FL for the national convention in Orlando in July.
If I do it will likely be for a day trip to visit the writers and
communities in faith meetings.  But I will have to see if the agenda
schedule and my logistics will permit this.  Have a good day.

Hi All,
I don't think I've posted in a few months, but just wanted to know how
everyone's doing.  Traffic on this list seems to be fairly light.
I just finished my first year of college.  I have still been writing a fair
amount (but nothing short enough to post on Stylist-it's a longer-term
project).  I've also started reading an English author named Nick Hornby,
who is a New York Times bestselling author (for these of you who are
familiar with him, I've read A Long Way Down, An Education and am now in the
middle of How to Be Good).
 Anyway, hope everyone is well.
