Lynda,
How very exciting. Your letter is so full of the things that all writers need to hear. It is very encouraging and inspirational. It is a keeper, and I will keep it for a good reference to what you have been all about.
Thanks you so much.

Hello friends,
Sometimes we all think about who might be reading our work. Every now and then, something happens that lifts us up and gives us the motivation to keep on going on our writing path.
For me, its getting a notice that my poem or CNF essay is accepted for publication in a variety of literary magazines, anthologies, etc. I love sharing my work and I especially like helping other writers to get their work out there too.
My work-day began this morning at 3 AM. This is my normal day. It's still not daylight yet, but I've received an exciting announcement. I'll share just a line from this note with you.

"Congratulations! We are thrilled to inform you that your essay "Prologue: in which I Knit a Life Back Together" published in the September 2016 issue of Spirit Fire Review has been nominated for Sundress Publications Best of the Net Anthology Awards, 2016-2017."

We just never know who is reading our work when we send it out into the world. I am really delighted to receive this prestigious nomination. The piece is the "PROLOGUE" in my new book, _Walking by Inner Vision: Stories & Poems_ published in February 2017.
My book was edited by Leonore and David Dvorkin, DLD Books, and this is the “Prologue” in the book. I wanted to write the Prologue myself in this book, for I wanted the reader to hear my voice from the beginning. The book is a collection of 27 CNF essays and 16 poems. It is a HYBRID, Indy book. I worked on the pieces for this book for over 7 years. And, when I started working on them, that inner critic (The IC) said to me quite often, “Who would ever want to read anything you write? Who would ever want to read a book by you? You have nothing to say that would be of interest to anyone! ”

We ALL face that IC when we engage in creative work. But, keep on going and bring your work to life. Never allow the IC to dominate your life or stop you from creating the work of your hands and mind.

I’ll share more details about this nomination soon. Meanwhile, I have work to be done and as the light begins to chase away the darkness, my dogs will be ready for our first walk of the day. We’ll be walking through the layers of falling leaves.
Thank you for your support of my work and your friendship. Lynda Lambert
