Hi Members,

Glad that I am still a member here, though I did drop my membership
from the NFB listserv. Don't tell, okay..

My 12,000 word autobio is presently being edited by a friend and
administrator for the FB group Writer's Cafe. I am trying to firm
things up for October with DLD Book Publishing, and have been informed
by them they will publish to CreateSpace or Smashwords. I was
considering BookBaby but the recommended package would run close to
$1500. I don't have that kind of money. It would offer a fair array of
goodies though.

I notice Lulu on the other hand is either free, or free plus services
you desire. Some of you have gone the Lulu route. Who published for
you?

I like the review option they offer even if it is a Kirkus Review.
Reader reviews are tough to get..

I like the author copy idea from Amazon and or CreateSpace. Those may
be what family members get as gifts from me.

I did discover at Scribophile.com, there is a group for memoir writers
called Memoir House that I may look into. I am presently critiquing
someone else's memoir there. I bought a pay membership giving me
unlimited benefits for $65 per year which runs out in Feb.

I consider it worth the expense given the price of professional critiques.

Well, any help on the above regarding Lulu vs. CreateSpace would be
helpful. I am leaning toward print, print on demand and EBook.

If money becomes an issue, print and print on demand will be the order
of the day.

Cheers,
