Thea The two files were docx a modern version of doc. I converted all three to txt but not sure how well the track changes will come through as the last time I dealt with them I couldn't seem to get access to them. Anyway hope these are helpful.

Subject: [Stylist] Fw: Your copy-edited manuscript is ready for your review

>
>
> Hey. Where my writers at?
> OK, check this out. While I held my breath, Tellwell Talent created a clean copy of my novel and a copy with track changes on.
> They also sent me a pdf of their manuscript guidelines.
> The pdf opens and I can read it after a fashion.
> But the two Word documents are impossible for me to open.
> Tellwell has never worked with a blind author, and they always seem to send me things I can't access.
> Naturally, I was not too thrilled at not being able to open up either Word document, particularly the track changes one.
> Plus, in the attachment to this message is the email, which details further work I'll have to do when it comes time for layout and images.
> I wonder if anyone would be willing to try to open the Word documents and see if you get the same error.
> If so, maybe you know how to fix that?
> Thanks for any help.

> Hi Thea,
>
> Your copy-edited manuscript is ready for your review. My apologies for the delay.
>
> Please find attached your copy-edited manuscript with "track changes" on, as well as a "clean" version, with all edits accepted.
> An outline of Microsoft Word's track changes feature: http://www.gcflearnfree.org/word2010/20.2 How to accept and reject track changes: http://www.gcflearnfree.org/word2010/20.3
> As the author, it is your decision on what recommended edits you want to make to your manuscript. You can choose to accept or reject each edit. But remember, this is your final version. After you revise your manuscript and submit it, it means you are ready for Interior Layout.
> If you feel you need further editing, let me know and I'll be happy to provide a quote for that service.
> Preparing your manuscript for interior layout and design: Take as much time as you need to review your edits and chose which edits to accept or reject._Accept or reject all edits, and delete all comments made by the editor so that all the red marks have disappeared from the document and the designer has a "clean" version.See Tellwell's attached manuscript submission guidelines for important information on how to prepare your manuscript for design. We only accept manuscripts as Microsoft Word documents.Send your manuscript as one single Word document, including the dedication, acknowledgements, epilogues, etc., if applicable. If you have images embedded throughout your manuscript, please send the properly named individual image files as well. Consistency is key for formatting, so if you use a different font to style to indicate your chapter heads, pick one and stick with it. Once you've gone over the guidelines and your manuscript meets our requirements, you can send me your!
manuscript as an email attachment or via wetransfer.com.
> This should be your final, edited manuscript. Once you've entered the design phase, any further changes to the text can only be made during your revision rounds, directly on your PDF interior file. During design revision rounds, changes should be focused on formatting and design layout NOT spelling, grammar, or major changes to text.
> The initial layout will be completed in approximately 2-4 weeks. You will have two more chances to make revisions to the layout and text, but again, these revisions should be focused on design elements, not text changes.
> Thank you.
