Why do they send a clean copy and one with the proposed changes?
Is it recommended that you use the clean copy to write in the changes you
want to keep?
I thought that happened when you accepted or rejected changes on the copy
with the changes.
Anyway, I am waiting for Word to respond to my command to open a list of
revisions.
It's taking forever.
I think my puter's getting old.

It's typical to send a clean copy along with the proposed changes.

I have Jaws 18, latest build, Windows 7 and MS Office 2016, of which
Word is one program.
They actually sent me two Word documents: one with track changes, and the
other without.
I'm not sure why.

What version of MS and JAWS do you have?

    Hi, Bridget.
How does one take a document like this out of protected mode?
I did look at the Jaws help file for Word and found the track changes. Maybe
they put something about protected documents somewhere.
OK, back to the grindstone.

Unless you have a really old version of Microsoft, dot dox files should
open. You may have to take them out of protected view though. JAWS, at
least, will read track changes, though you do have to turn track changes on.
If you're not comfortable with this stuff, or other problems arise involving
accessibility, you will probably want to hire someone sighted to help.

Thea The two files were docx a modern version of doc. I converted all three
to txt but not sure how well the track changes will come through as the last
time I dealt with them I couldn't seem to get access to them. Anyway hope
these are helpful.

spelling, grammar, or major changes to text.
