Daniel, thank you for your kind note.

For a relatively new writer, I’d say you have a very good focus in mind for your writing.

Stay with it – and be patient.

I’ll look forward to learning more about gaming, too.

Lynda

Congratulations Lynda, my name is Daniel Perry and I’m an extremely new writer, as in I’m still trying to figure out what I’m going to write about but I have plenty of help. I’m going to do some articles on video and computer gaming for the blind and try to submit them to mainstream gaming magazines so as to bring blind gaming more into the mainstream so that big developers will learn that we too can play video and computer games. A very mary christmas to you and congratulations to you again for your book comeing to Bard and greetings from a fellow federationist from here in Virginia.

Greetings and Merry Christmas to each of my writing friends at NFB.

First, I want to wish everyone a holiday filled with joy and wonder.

My holiday officially will begin today when my KY family arrives this morning – and another will also come from Indiana, PA, too.

We will be celebrating for an entire week as usual here in The Village of Wurtemburg, PA.

I want to be sure to let you know that I am so delighted my book is now on BARD.

This is a good time for me to pause a bit, and let you know I am cheering you on in your own writing.

I was delighted to learn last night that my book is now on BARD – and I hope you enjoy reading it. And, woven in with my stories is the personal aspects of my life from early childhood growing up in a rural steel town in western Pennsylvania to my international art and writing life. We all write about what we know – and that is what brings our stories and poems to life.

The most important thing I know from my years of life is to never worry about my audience. Our audience will find us, and we just need to keep focused on what is ours to do – the writing.

Walking by Inner Vision: Stories & Poems, is a year-long journey from January through December; a journey over many centuries of life from the ancient past to the present day.

This is special to me because it is my first book publication after sudden sight loss twelve years ago.

It took 2 years before I could use a computer again. And, it took me eight years to write the book after I left rehab and worked for 2 years to do things with adaptive equipment – and personal adjustment to blindness. The theme of struggle and recovery runs through the book, of course. But, the thing that is very different is that this book is written from the inner visions of an artist.

My 4th book is now in the second galley stage – and will be released on January 3 by Finishing Line Press. It is a chapbook, first snow, and will also be available as a Hard Bound book – something new for me. This is a little collection of 30 wintry-themed poem and the cover on the book is one of my photos. Each of my 4 published books features my photography.

Be joyful and celebrate this beautiful end-of-the-year holiday. Lynda
