Thanks, Barbara. This is a great discussion because it illustrates how a poem can be powerful and hit different people in unique ways. Those are my favorite kinds of poems, and the same goes for songs. Sometimes the meaning is clear, and other times when reading/listening, you feel the emotion, but aren't sure exactly what the writer/singer meant to convey, so it leaves you thinking.
