[Stylist] Attention spans

This is a good discussion. It leads to questions of what we can do about
this issue.

Some of you remember back in 2019 when I had a small team working with me on
a project around Apollo 11. We didn't get to finish it, but we learned a lot
from doing it. As the main writer for our narrative, I felt the struggle as
I kept asking how to present this narrative with enough substance. I think
we did pretty well at it, but the more I see what's happening in our world,
the more I wonder how we can deal with this issue of short attention spans.
If the cultural trend is moving towards more flash and no substance, that's
a cause for concern.

My affiliate is doing some membership building events, and I've been on the
planning committee. We'll be working with the presenters to keep things
short and sweet, but I know we'll also need to allow people to take a break.

This whole issue leads me to acknowledge that we can't turn the clock back.
Technology will not go away. So what can we do to help ourselves? Any
thoughts? Thanks.
