[Stylist] A, question for Sherry and promoting your books as Writers in general on this list

I didn't see the original message but found it under Annie's. I emailed my regional library directly and asked them to do my book. I was living in Colorado then, and the book takes place there. They asked me to send them two paperback copies of the book, which I did. Last time I looked on BARD, it was in process. The commercial audio wasn't finished at the time, and I had no clue I could have waited and had NLS use the commercial audio. My narrator is fantastic, and I'd love that to be the version on BARD.

Hi-
I hired a professional narrator and once the files were done for uploading to Audible, I contacted the Perkins library and asked how to submit the audio files for their own catalog. Perkins studio directed my narrator in recording a few extra snippets for BARD and I also paid a small editing fee and a month later my book was out on BARD.

I do know the regional libraries all have their respective processes and one should not take what I say to mean another regional library is the same.

Getting people to call or email their regional library and request your book is another way to speed up the process.

Best,
Annie

A question for Sherrie and promoting your books on your apps through the stylist How did you Sherrie get your book in process for being recorded by bard? The lady in Florida put a request through to Bard asking for my books to be recorded but we haven’t heard anything from them. I thought since I read that you had a booking process I would ask you how you did it.

Also for anyone interested, if you publish your books through draft2digital.com, the self publishing website, they will distribute your books to Apple books. I have my books on Apple Books and also some are available on the Kindle app. So, if anyone is in the Writers Division group or on this list has their books on kindle or available through any other app or main stream, brick, and mortar bookstores please let us know so we can read them.
