OMG! It’s June already, how did it happen? 😕

The experts say it takes a year or longer to acclimate to a new home and location. I think the estimate is correct. Jerry and I are at the point where the inside of the house is how we want it. Now we are working on improving the outside. Jerry bee proofed the eaves from carpenter bees by caulking and flushing the nests with pesticide. We only got rid of the ones who were already nesting and deterred the rest with an electric fly swatter. It doesn’t kill them, instead it shocks them enough to remind them not to like our house anymore.  It worked. We are using a natural pesticide with mint oil and it is working. Our peppers are growing and all the other veggies are doing well except the chard, we are trying to stop the pests from eating it with natural pesticides but I am not sure we will be successful and the rainbow chard might be an epic fail.
