Hi all,
My name is Gina, and I am a researcher in the Inclusive Design Lab in Human
Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington. We are
currently seeking interviewees for a study about experiences of blind and
low vision people creating tactile graphics. We hope to recruit blind or
low vision adults who have had experiences both using tactile graphics and
designing or making them. For this study, tactile graphics are defined very
broadly! Any experiences creating images that communicate information
primarily via touch are interesting and relevant here.
If you would like to participate and think you might be eligible, please
fill out this survey <https://forms.gle/8E4Vw7RwLgSFPNjG7>. If you meet the
eligibility criteria and are selected, we will invite you to participate in
an interview. We will compensate you with $30 for a one hour interview in
the form of an Amazon gift card for your time and effort.
For context, I am sighted. Prior to this, I worked for Sile O'Modhrain and
Steve Landau at Touch Graphics designing tactile graphics. Thank you to
Abby Stangl for the TAGS group connection.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to
gclepper at uw.edu.
Thank you!
Gina Clepper
