This list is sponsored by the National Federation of the Blind, NFB. TAGS is the email list of the National Federation of the Blind Tactile Art and Tactile Graphics Specialist Group. All tactile artists, tactile graphics producers, art teachers, museum curators, museum educators and all enthusiasts are welcome to join this list. We want to encourage discussions about tactile art including materials and art-making techniques. We also want to explore best practices to make exhibits accessible. Tactile art is fine art that the artist intends to be touched. Tactile graphics are images that improve access to information through touch. We want to share what we know and learn from each other. The purpose of this list is to facilitate communication between tactile artists, tactile graphics producers, and enthusiasts, and to build a community. This list is moderated by the chairperson(s) of the Tactile Arts and Tactile Graphics Specialist Group. The moderators are Ann Cunningham and Deborah Kent Stein. Subscribing to TAGS
