Subject: SPAM-LOW: [TAGS] Tactile Interactive Model Concept Revisited
Last year, I brought before this list an idea regarding James Webb images being converted into tactile models, but with audio descriptions built in. Someone on this list privately contacted me about this, and we started a discussion on the topic.
I want to revisit this since Star Trek is celebrating an anniversary next year. I wanted to try a model of Deep Space 9, since it’s not one I’m as familiar with.
As with the James Webb model, I envision the description being interactive, and that it’s narrated by a voice talent. I want to explore the concepts of good audio description, true multi-sensory access, and the ability to mix Braille identification labels with rich and engaging audio narration.
The person who wanted to contact me last wanted to work with me on this, but we somehow lost contact. If that person is still out there, I’d like to hear from them so we can resume that discussion. If you’re out there, please contact me privately. Thanks.
