Dear Fellow Federationists,

Are you getting excited for the National Convention of the National
Federation of the Blind? Are you excited for the

New and innovative things our strong organization is going to achieve at

Year's convention? Will you be one of the almost 62 people from the great?

State of Iowa who are going to be at the convention? Are you going to live
stream the convention from home or work? If you answered yes to

Any of these questions, then this email has some information you want to

Read in preparation for #NFB18

This year the Iowa affiliate is co-hosting the convention along with our
Florida and Virginia affiliates. This is exciting for Iowa, because 50 years
ago we hosted the convention here in Des Moines!

If you can't be in Orlando to experience the excitement in person, you can
listen to portions of the convention online via our live stream. Please
visit the <https://nfb.org/convention/2018/stream> live stream webpage to
access the stream in both English and Spanish. The URL for this is listed

Friday morning for the welcoming ceremonies, I will be presenting to the
convention and getting people fired up for the convention! You won't want to
miss the entertainment that Dave Hammel and the other members of the welcome
ceremony committee have put together.

A big Congratulations to Elizabeth (Beth) Rouse for being one of the 2018
National Scholarship program finalists!

Things of Importance to Note for Iowa members at convention!

The Iowa caucus will take place on July 4th at 5:15-6:15 in Wekiwa 5. Please

preferred seating in the main Banquet Hall.

After the banquet, I would like to get a group photo with everyone from
Iowa, since we are co-hosting the convention. I will announce the place of
this at the caucus.
