Obituary

Loren Wakefield, 59, of Waukee, passed away unexpectedly on December 13,
2020. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 18, 2020, at
Caldwell Parrish - McCalley Chapel in Adel. Burial will follow the service
at the Wiscotta Cemetery. Prior to the service, the family will greet
family, friends and their guests who will have an opportunity to pay their
respects to Loren. Guests in attendance are encouraged to follow all Iowa
Department of Public Health guidelines on COVID-19. Live streaming of the

Loren Monroe Wakefield was born March 1, 1961, in Muscatine, IA. Loren was
raised by his parents Jessie and Delbert Wakefield Sr. Loren graduated from
the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School. He furthered his education and
received his Master's Degree. On June 16, 1984 Loren was united in marriage
to Teresa Hogan, together this union was blessed by three children, Matthew,
Ryan, and Andrea. They raised their children in the Waterloo area until
moving to Waukee where Loren and Teresa continued to live.

Loren had numerous hobbies and interests. Loren enjoyed reading and applying
his mind. He was an avid Hawkeye sports fan and a devoted St. Louis
Cardinals baseball fan. Music was a passion of his, he liked every type of
music from classic rock to country, he was a thriving drummer. Loren's
unique sense of humor lit up a room and he brought laughter to many. Loren's
big heart for his family and willingness to help anyone will be greatly
missed.

His memory will continue on in the hearts and minds of his wife, Teresa; son
Matthew (Joelle) Wakefield and their children Zander and Jocelyn; daughter
Andrea (Mark) Lamb and their children Anthony, Nicholas and Raelynn; sister
Anna Marie (Larry) Hill; brothers Bob Wakefield and James Wakefield. As well
as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his son Ryan; parents Delbert and Jessie
Wakefield Sr.; brothers Delbert Wakefield Jr, and John Wakefield.
