Subject: Status of IDB and the Library

Good Morning Library Consumer Advisory Committee,

I hope this email finds everyone safe and well. I wanted to give you an
update on the library.

The Elizabeth Perowsky Workshop and Luncheon will be postponed until Fall.

The Iowa Department for the Blind building is closed to the public, but
library staff will continue to work (some in our building, and some at home)
and will be providing services through all avenues as best we can such as
mail, email, BARD and phone calls. We continue to circulate materials in
audio, braille and large print through the mail. The Instructional
Materials Center continues to help students get materials they need for any
supplemental learning they are doing right now, as well as, processing
materials for next year.

We are also offering some new programs that patrons can participate in from
home. Below is information about the programs that start next week. Please
help us in spreading the word about these opportunities. Also, a great way
to keep up to date on the library is through the library's blog. We just
relaunched the blog and we will continue to add more information about
library services. Library Blog http://iowalibrary.blog

Thank you for your help getting the word out about the programs and for your

Stay safe, stay connected and happy reading!
