[Tall-Corn] What is the E-Reader

Greetings,

 

For the past nine or ten months the Iowa Library For The Blind and
Physically Handicapped has been participating in the NLS E-Reader pilot
program. What is this pilot project? What is an E-Reader? How does it work?
Who is eligible to participate? What have those us who have been
participating experienced in these many months?

 

All of these questions and more will be covered in the next How To Tuesday
sponsored by the Des Moines Chapter next Tuesday, June 8 at 7:00 pm. If you
are participating in the project your input would be appreciated and it
should be a real learning experience for all of us. What? You haven't heard
about this project or you haven't signed up for it because it seems beyond
your current  needs? Join us and ask your questions. Do you need to deal
with a part of the reader that you can't get to work the way you believe it
should. All of these areas will be covered a number of people who are users
of the E-Reader and it is likely that we will have someone from Humanware
onhand to talk with us too. No question is too basic. We do request that
those who have multiple questions separate them some so everyone has a
chance to ask the things they need to know.
